"Mystery in the Making"

"Mystery in the Making" by Eli Young Band seemed appropriate for this post!!

my adorable little nephew Camden.. he likes to point at EVERYTHING!!!
I love this picture of Cara and Camden... It was pretty in color.. but I prefer it this way..

Camden was all sad and didnt want to "pose", I couldn't have planned this..

This picture is just plain adorable!

Out of all the pictures that were taken, this is my favorite!!
This is just a sneek peak of Cara and Camden. And for the record, Cara's pregnant with baby #2 (due in March) but she doesnt look like it at all!!! :)

Dream Like New York

"Dream Like New York" is a song by Tyrone Wells.. Great song might I add! Look it up!

I chose this song because I've been doing a lot of dreaming and thinking lately! Plus trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my life, I have all this free time, might as well start making some plans! :)

One thing I've decided on is that I'm going to look into photography. Its always been something I've really enjoyed, but now I see it as a huge part of my future. I owe that to Whitney Lewis and the photographs she takes. They really opened my eyes! I suggest you look her up either on my blog or from my facebook, you won't be disappointed! Hopefully this works out like I plan!

I'm very happy with my decisions I've made in the last few days. Some of them haven't been the easiest, but I know I've made the right decisions! And that's really all that matters, is that I feel comfortable knowing I'm making the right choices for my life. :)

Sink or Swim...

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the future. At this moment in time I am hours away from my 21st birthday.. literally. And am nowhere near where I thought I would be! A lot of my friends from high school are engaged, married or working on their 2nd child since graduating high school. Me, Im none of those things (at least not yet) Im a semester and a few hours shy of graduating from OSU in 2011 like I planned, thats completely my fault from switching my major 5 times. Things just arent moving as quickly as i thought they would with my life. Of course these are the cards I've been dealt, and I should just be happy that Im complaining about these problems. It just makes me wonder what could have happened if I made different decisions. Where would I be right now? Would I be in Utah like I planned? or would i have stayed at Northwestern instead of moving to Stillwater...

Think about it.. what if going back in time and making ONE decision different.. changed your entire life.

Start Something New...

Soo... its been quite a while since I've posted.. my apologies.. :) And quite a lot has happened since my last post.... First of all, my last post was our last game as "The Sandlot" :( pretty sad I know. But the next game was just impossible for us to get a team together. So, we had to forfeit... wasnt too fun. But oh well.. theres always next year right? :)

I went home for a weekend. Just to hang out with mi madre and some old friends from High School. It was a blast! Just backroads, bonfires, and old friends... :) Havent had fun like that in quite a while... Here's a few pictures from the evening!

THE CAMPFIRE!!!!

My Best Friend from High School, Charlie "Tweeder" Hensy and myself. :)

My Buddy Tyler Leaming and myself. Havent seen this kid since graduation!

So, For those of you that dont know about a certain Sister Missionary that was serving in our ward.. Sister Thaxtons her name... She was FINALLY transferred out of Stillwater!!!! YAYA!!! I mean that in the best of ways! She is now serving in a town called Lawton. Crazy girl that she is finally got out of Stillwater. We of course miss her dearly.. but it was her time! Along with a certain Elder... Elder Meissner.. He is now a Zone Leader in Wichita Falls, TX... we gave him some hard times about that because he will never get a true Oklahoma winter now since he's going home in November... But, hes from Montana... pretty sure he knows what snow is like! ;) These are some pictures from their last day in Stillwater.. :)

Osness, Medina, Evans, Meissner, Thaxton, Fleming... :)
So.. I think these boys play with knives WAAAAY too much..

This is probably the creepiest picture of Evans EVER!!!!

Those silly kids.. :)

Sister Thaxton and myself.. ya.. I cried.. but I didnt tell her that!!!

Okay... So, Dannah Orrs annual birthday campout.. I didnt plan on going.. then ended up going.. and I ate froglegs?... I blame Mitchell for that one.. ha ha.. but, they tasted just like chicken. Literally!!! we all sang some songs, watched the boys play with the boat.. and a good ole fashioned game of capture the flag.. :) It was a whole heck of a lot of fun.. At around 4 am we all finally decided hmm.. bed sounds nice.. then woke up around 8.. For most of us we didnt go home and sleep.. just did whatever.. And decided to play a pick up game of soccer.. I wouldnt suggest sleeping for only 3ish hours then playing 3ish hours of soccer later in the day.. Its kind of a killer.. ha ha.. But it was a lot of fun. I'll be the first to admit that.. Plus, I had an amazing team.. Laura and I were "team captains" I got Mitchell and Musonda in agreement that she could get Cory (her boyfriend) Thats just how it goes! ha ha.. oh well.. Heres some pictures and a video from the camp out!

This was actually a sunset we saw on the way home from the temple :)

Jessica Dobie and I took about a million of these pictures!!!

The MASSIVE smore Mitchell ate.. Sugar high anyone?

Mitchell attempting to eat the massive smore.. ha ha.. He tried to convince us afterwards that he wouldnt be able to sleep for a while.. obviously if you know Mitchell you know how unlikely that is.. ha ha.. He's a sleeper.. :)

There will be a video coming shortly.. my computer decided to be lame!! :(

Throw & Go..

The title of this weeks post is Throw & Go by Eli Young Band... The title is pretty fitting for what Im about to talk about... OUR FIRST PLAY-OFF GAME!!!! (which we won) It was a quite exciting game if I do say so myself... We started off pretty rocky.. but eventually figured out what to do.. :) At one point in the evening when I was up to bat, the ball was pitched pretty high above my head... and Jacob Hurst yelled out "Way to be short Miranda!" For the first time EvEr it paid off to be short. Because if I was taller it would have been a strike.. Yay Me!! ha ha We've had roughly the same batting order each time... Joe Roundtree is always our cleanup hitter, Im right after Joe and Mitchell Walser is right after me.. Joe made it around like he usually does.. I went up to bat, made it to first.. Then Mitch came up to bat, usually he gets me out at 2nd. Yes, I said HE... because he always hits it right past 2nd.. and I cant run THAT fast.. lol.. But this time was different.. He actually hit it way better than usual... But me not realizing this I stopped at 2nd as he was right behind me trying to get on 2nd.. So, I ran to 3rd.. and actually made it! apparently the ball was out of play or something like that.. Im not really sure what happened... but they let me walk home since I was already rounding to 3rd by the time they called the play. Mitchell had to stay at 2nd, but I had faith he would be brought home.. and at the next boy batter he was.. Jacob Hurst walked up to the plate and slammed a homer!!! YAY!!! In the very last inning of the game.. very last batter for the other team.. they subbed in a girl who hadnt played at all that game because she showed up late. They said shes played with them all season and was supposed to be one of their better girls.. They had a man on 2nd and 3rd. And 2 outs. They needed one run to tie, two to win... The girl hit a pretty good one... only it was a line drive to our amazing 1st baseman James Berry... Their amazing hitter lost them the game.. Im not complaining.. ha ha.. Our next game is scheduled for Sunday the 19th. Obviously since our ENTIRE team (minus one person) is LDS. We wont be playing on that day. So, we're switching our day if at all possible. The intramural department did it for the flag football team so theyre more than willing to do it with us. :) Im way excited!! I'll keep you all posted on how we do! :)

James Berry, Me, Laura Strauss, David Ayres, Mitchell Walser... Pretty sure Im the shortest person by about 7 inches and more in this group of people!

Me!!!

David Ayres... hes making it look like hes about to steal 3rd.. but stealing bases is illegal in intramurals. :)

This is probably my favorite picture out of the bunch.. Joe Roundtree...
And here's our team being good sports and shaking hands.. :) Its easy to be a good sport when you won!

This Time...

So, in case you havent noticed. Im starting to title all of my posts from song titles.. This Time is a song from the movie August Rush that I absolutely LoVe... And, I should probably apologize for my last post.. It was rather loooong. Sorry about that. Not for the things that were said... Now, onto this one :)

As some of you may or may not know.. I went and did temple baptisms this past Thurs. March 26th.. for the first time in a VERY long time. And it was probably the absolute most spiritual experience of my entire life. On the way down to the temple I was a little nervous about what to expect. I had done them before, but not for a long while. When we arrived I felt a sense of calm come over me. And was so happy to be able to walk through those doors this time instead of have to sit in the waiting room. :) I felt like i was a VIP or something. Which I guess I kind of was that day. While sitting in wait I pondered the last year of my life and how much things have changed so drastically... And Im so happy that they have. I couldnt ask for a better place to be in my life right now. When it was my turn for confirmations I was a little more nervous. Mitchell and Bro. Clark were doing them this round, and in sitting there listening to the words Mitchell kept saying as he laid his hands upon my head, knowing that him and Bro. Clark held the Priesthood and were able to perform acts as such I coudnt help but smile. In leaving the confirmation room something told me to turn around and I did.... I wont tell you what actually happened because thats something pretty private for me.. But when I left I couldnt help but cry.. It was a hard day for me and it felt like the Spirit hit me with a ton of bricks!!! I had never felt it so strong in my entire life.. And Im excited to know that The Spirit is with me at all times now. :) Burck Berry did my baptisms.. and dang, did he go fast.. ha ha.. But I was glad that it was Burck. Once again, it made me proud to know that he was able to do this worthily... Im glad that I have people in my life that live the gospel in their every day lives. And I cant wait to return to the temple again!!!!!

Afterwards, as tradition holds.. Bishop Barnes takes us all out to dinner.. we chose the Olive Garden this time... And James Berry usually dares me to eat something I dont like or have never had... and in return I receive an entire glass full of their mints... This time it was a banana pepper... which, if you know me.. you know I dont like peppers... I walked out of there with I swear two of those cups worth of mints.. But I earned EVERY one of them! :)

The Right Kind of Wrong...

Okay... so, bit of an interesting few weeks you could say... First off.. Its Spring Break!!! Im loving the sleep i've been getting.. too bad its about to end :( oh well. I can handle that. :) I've gotten more accomplished than I thought I would. So Im pretty proud of that! For those of you that dont know, im living next to the Elders for the time being. And ohmy.. its pretty hilarious.. especially when the Zone Leaders are in town and one of them gets a hold of your phone.. and finds the camera function. Elder Medina had a bit too much fun... we'll just blame it on the fact that he's from AZ ;) The pictures all speak for themselves.. :)

This is Elder Osness.. One of the Zone leaders... He is from St. George Utah.. Also known as "St. GeeZee" apparently... Im not sure if thats really true or not..

This is Elder Meissner.. He's from Mizzula Montana.. Im apologizing now in case I spelled that wrong. Theres a very good chance that I did. :)

This is Elder Evans. He's from Nova Scotia Canada... A pretty funny kid actually... the picture here is a little creepy.. but he's usually pretty harmless.. he reminds us a lot of Waldo.. Hey! Wheres Waldo?!

This is Elder Medina himself.. also one of the ZL's... funniest kid ever pretty much.. We've recently became good friends solely on the fact that he's a month older than me and we both graduated in 07... thats a good reason right? ;)

This is probably the funniest picture EvEr!!!! E. Meissner is on the left and E. Medina is on the right.. Im honestly not even sure how it happened.. it just did.. :)

Stefani Woods 23rd birthday was this week... And a lot of the girls decided to celebrate it on Wed with a dinner at Kyotos... which was good but bad at the same time, because we also have our intramural softball games on Wed.... AHH!!! so, we attempted to do both. We only were able to order drinks though then had to bail. At least Rae, Autumn and I did.. lol And in case youre wondering. We lost our softball game. :( first one of the season for us. Sad day really.. plus it was FREEZING!!! and i was wearing shorts.. not so fun!! ha ha.. and the umpire and i were standing at home plate talking about politics... couldnt get much better!!!! lol.. Im still proud of my team.. 2-1 isnt bad. We're already doing better than our soccer team ;) here's a few pics from Kyotos. I'll try and get some pictures taken at our next softball game :)

Candace Midgett, Autumn Wood, ME!, RaeAnna Devey, Sis. K., Kathleen Young. I think this is probaby one of the BeSt group pictures I've ever been apart of :) or maybe its just the group of girls in it! :D

Autumn Wood, ME and Rae... You'd think Rae and I were apart of a softball team or something?..

And once again, the same three most amazing girls ever.. :) Somehow my phone tends to make it into A LOT of pictures.. :) But thats okay.. maybe I should name it!?

Last but not least this is Autumn and myself.. :) I think its a pretty amazing picture.. but maybe Im just biast... :)

Well, I know that this blog entry was pretty random... hopefully next time it wont be so random... but hey.. Joe didnt give me the nickname RaNdOm for no reason.. ;)

A Public Affair...

So, last night was the big dance of the year for the Stillwater University Ward.. The Black & White Affair.. not gonna lie.. i absolutely LOVED my "little black dress"... what I loved even more was the price tag!!! $19.99... originally.. $98... how did I pull this off you might be asking... I honestly have no idea... ha ha but either way, the night was a blast.. the music at first was pretty terrible.. I vote a new DJ next time.. it wasnt only me saying this either.. it was good music.. that you would jam out to in your car... not dance music.. if that makes any sense.. it got better as the night went on though.. :) I took pictures with every one of my dance partners.. I think I missed a few.. but those were the boys that I didnt know at all.. so that would have been a little awkward... here's some pictures from the night!!! :)

This picture is of my good friend Jesse and I.. He's been one of my best friends since we were about 13 years old.. its crazy how much time has flown by!!!

This picture is so funny just because of the guy in the background! David Stewarts creeper picture is still waaay better though :)

This is me and my friend Stephen.. Im still laughing about what he said to me when we were dancing.. he asked me if I had always been this short.. pretty sure I've been this short since forever!
And this is Bro. Randy Clark and me.. He's like my dad down here in Stillwater. He looks after me and makes sure Im doing what Im supposed to be doing. :)

Cory Johnson and Me!!! :) He's like my big brother.. this kid cracks me up!

Cory thought that he was a "Playa" when taking this picture.. then it didnt even work out like we had planned it to! Leave it to Cory and Laura!!! ha ha

Zach Edens (my home teacher) Laura, Cory and I.. Its kind of funny that only Laura and I were the only ones looking at the camera..

Mackenzie Holyoak and myself.. It was his last night in Oklahoma.. he now lives in Florida working for Sea Base.. :(

Caleb Wood and I.. funny thing is.. when him and I were younger we didnt get along at all.. now we do.. :)Zach, Laura, and Mack.. not gonna lie.. Zach made this picture hilarious.. its like Laura has a 2nd head.. thats a boy?

This is Jesse and I once again.. you'd think we were a couple huh?.. nah.. never gonna happen.. then again. Last time I said that I started dating the boy I said that about!! ha ha

"just because today is a terribe day doesnt mean tomorrow wont be the best day of your life. you just gotta get there."

Blackberry Curves & Softball Games.. Oh what a day..

Well, This is a Blackberry Curve 8310... retail value of this phone is priced at $400.. today, someone got one for free... because they STOLE mine.. needless to say I wasnt too thrilled about this.. but, thanks to my genius when I bought the phone I got insurance on it.. and AT&T is sending me a new one.. for those of you that dont know.. this will be my 3rd Blackberry Curve.. the first one messed up and was being weird.. the 2nd one got stolen.. and now I will be with my 3rd.. hopefully nothing happens to this one.. I'll be pretty upset.. especially since Im without a phone for the next few days.. :( But I'll get through it.. :) Especially since Blackberrys are cool and you can completely deactivate them so they cant be used every again.. so, whoever stole my phone now has a useless phone.. jokes on them I guess.. :)

But, on a better and MUCH happier note.. my softball team won tonight!! It was our 2nd game.. we're now 2-0!!! YAY!!!! Im pretty proud of my team.. its always fun to win.. but even more fun when you're the captain and its your team that you put together.. gets a little stressful.. but it was much nicer this week that we actually had umpires who knew what they were doing.. whoever the guy was behind me at catcher was way cool.. much better than the girl we had last week.. :) even though he made fun of the name on the back of my shirt.. blah.. ha ha... whatever.. its okay though.. We still won, thats all that matters.. Afterwards, Mitchell, Me, Zach, Laura and Paige hung around to hit some balls and do whatever.. I started off hitting right handed and that was just baaaad.. So, I thought to myself.. "self, I shoot baskets left handed.. why not try batting left handed?!" The first few were pretty shaky so I switched back to right, then decided maybe I should try left again.. and thus, we learned that I am a MUCH better left handed batter.. Mitch was slightly annoyed I think because he took his glove off and walked away.. then i started actually hitting balls pretty far and high on his side.. kinda made me laugh.. especially since NONE of us expected that.. Im pretty proud of myself.. i wont lie about that.. :) Hopefully we'll win next week as well.. :)

Another One Bites The Dust... :(

Yesterday on my way back from Ponca City to Stillwater my brakes failed on my car and I ran a red light hitting two other cars.. this is the damage to mine.. :( Oh, and that intersection, was the busiest intersection at the busiest time of day.. go figure!!!

The Last Picture is all of the damage that happened to the Second car.. obviously nothing too bad.. but if anyone could explain how my bumper ended up where it did that would be awesome.. :)
