As some of you may or may not know.. I went and did temple baptisms this past Thurs. March 26th.. for the first time in a VERY long time. And it was probably the absolute most spiritual experience of my entire life. On the way down to the temple I was a little nervous about what to expect. I had done them before, but not for a long while. When we arrived I felt a sense of calm come over me. And was so happy to be able to walk through those doors this time instead of have to sit in the waiting room. :) I felt like i was a VIP or something. Which I guess I kind of was that day. While sitting in wait I pondered the last year of my life and how much things have changed so drastically... And Im so happy that they have. I couldnt ask for a better place to be in my life right now. When it was my turn for confirmations I was a little more nervous. Mitchell and Bro. Clark were doing them this round, and in sitting there listening to the words Mitchell kept saying as he laid his hands upon my head, knowing that him and Bro. Clark held the Priesthood and were able to perform acts as such I coudnt help but smile. In leaving the confirmation room something told me to turn around and I did.... I wont tell you what actually happened because thats something pretty private for me.. But when I left I couldnt help but cry.. It was a hard day for me and it felt like the Spirit hit me with a ton of bricks!!! I had never felt it so strong in my entire life.. And Im excited to know that The Spirit is with me at all times now. :) Burck Berry did my baptisms.. and dang, did he go fast.. ha ha.. But I was glad that it was Burck. Once again, it made me proud to know that he was able to do this worthily... Im glad that I have people in my life that live the gospel in their every day lives. And I cant wait to return to the temple again!!!!!
Afterwards, as tradition holds.. Bishop Barnes takes us all out to dinner.. we chose the Olive Garden this time... And James Berry usually dares me to eat something I dont like or have never had... and in return I receive an entire glass full of their mints... This time it was a banana pepper... which, if you know me.. you know I dont like peppers... I walked out of there with I swear two of those cups worth of mints.. But I earned EVERY one of them! :)
