Christmas with the Cato Familia :)

This year I ony wanted one thing for Christmas.. and that was to talk to my best friend of 5 years.. hes serving his mission in the Spokane Washington area.. That wish was granted.. His family invited me to Christmas dinner so that I would be able to talk to him when he made the infamous call home... It was absolutly amazing.. The first thing I said to him was "you better love me, I got lost in Tulsa on my way here because I missed my exit!!" It was great.. and sad.. :( i teared up when they put him on Speaker Phone when he first called so we could all hear.. I was the "mystery guest" It was a good surprise for him. :) I wasnt able to say anything until I got my "personal time" with him, but it was well worth it. I didnt start crying until we had to hang up, I miss that kid like crazy. But I know he's doing an amazing job! :) Then.. leaving Jenks.. I got lost AGAIN!!! I took an earlier exit than I should have.. ended up in Broken Arrow... then somehow up in Owasso!!! If you know Oklahoma and the Tulsa area at all you know thats INSANE!!! It took me a little over an hour to get back on 412 and head home. It was well worth it though. Even though I missed Christmas with my family and I already ditched them all on Thanksgiving they understood how much this meant to me. Well, some of them, my little cousin Carly was not too happy about it, but eh.. what can ya do? Heres some pictures from that amazing day.. :)

And I would just like to say as a side note... Zac Robinson, the QB for OSU got slammed tonight.. Oregon still sucks... Thanks.. ( no offense Alex..)

Jerkfaces! :(

Sooo... One night someone thought it would be funny to throw water on my car.. then Sprinkles.. yes, I just said sprinkles.. along with rice on top of my car so that it would freeze there.. obviously I didnt find this to be too funny... who drives all the way out to middle of nowhere Perkins Oklahoma to do this?!?!?!?

Land of the Fruits & Nuts :)

The last few weeks have been a little crazy.. school, work, social life.. and saying good-bye to people that have become some good friends. Its apparently the time to serve a mission in our ward.. David Stewart at this moment in time is in the MTC in Provo Utah, preparing to serve his mission in California (hence the land of fruits and nuts saying!) While Logan Dill will enter the MTC in about 9 hours.. to serve in the Ogden Utah mission.. which is insane.. Because he isnt a big fan of Utah.. we've decided that God has a very funny sense of humore.. :) Here's some pictures from the night of their joint going away party!!

Bedlam 2008

As pretty much anyone from Oklahoma could be a witness to, Bedlam is pretty much the most important game of the year!!! And Since I go to OSU for school and am a proud Season Ticket holder.. I was able to attend the game.. and had some awesome seats.. especially since I waited in line from 3-5:30 then waited again once we got into the stadium until 7 for kickoff.. Even though we lost and I froze my butt of it was pretty fun. :) I loved it. And of course I had my camera on hand!! And oh dang did we take some pictures.. ha ha

This video is pretty much the funniest thing ever.. some random people came up and just started playing their CD player and dancing to it.. In case you cant tell its the Applebottom jeans song.. I'm pretty sure that my ringtone on my phone would have played it better!!! but thats just my opinion! :) Well, the week of Finals begins Monday. I only have 3 Finals on M W F.. my Friday final is sooo easy, the teacher is allowing us to have a full page front and back full of notes.. so, needless to say I will be getting a 100 on that one... ha ha.. I'll be getting like a 2 day break then off to work and my class that Im taking over Christmas Break. Media & Society is the name of the class, so it wont be too challenging or anything. Im pretty excited about it though. Things are starting to fall into place with school work and I finally decided to drop the Pre-law part of my major and just do Political Science and Journalism. Im pretty happy with my decision. It opens up more choices for me after Graduation. Which will hopefully be happening in 2010 instead of 2011.. :) Its been an interesting and busy couple of weeks and I get the feeling its only going to get more busy.. I cant wait!!!!!! i especially cant wait for my good friend Matt Lohmeier to get back from Texas. he's been down there since about August doing some Pilot training for the Air Force.. Today is his 27th birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!!!! :)

CaNdAcE's BiRtHdAy!!!

Wellllll, My roomate turned 25 on the 29th of November.. and for her birthday the weekend before Thanksgiving I decided to throw her a SuRpRiSe birthday party.. it was a blast.. especially since she didnt really expect anything.. ha ha.. YAY for me!!! It was mainly just a bunch of people from the ward hanging out.. we played Mafia, which was a blast.. :) It was pretty much the funnest night we've all had in a while.. even though Doug is ridiculous when it comes to the game.. oh well, it was a blast.. cant wait for the next time!!! Here's some pictures of the night!!

The Wedding.. :)

Well, not a whole lot has happened since the last post.. the most interesting thing was I went to my best friends ex girlfriends wedding.. Did that make sense? ha ha.. my best friend Greg Cato is serving his mission in the Spokane Washington mission. Now, to give you some background on this story i met Greg when i was 16, just a sophomore in High School. We've had our ups and downs just like every other friendship.. but we're still the best of friends. AANNNDDDD, i told him when he left on his mission that in my opinion he should break it off with his girlfriend, that way history didnt repeat itself. The girl he was dating, my now pretty good friend Kimmi 'Engledow' Wright, was dating a guy named Stephen that served his mission in the same area Greg is in... and Kimmi sent Stephen a dear John a few months into his mission to date Greg.. they dated off and on for years. and planned on still dating while he served his mission. I gave it two months until he got a dear john.. almost 2 months into his mission he got a dear John from Kimmi, so that she could date Stephen Wright ( a different Stephen ha ha... ironic eh?). and now, on Oct. 25th she married him and I was in attendance at the wedding.. how crazy is that?! it was pretty gorgeous though.. :) here are some pictures from the day!!!

last weekend my roomie Candace and I went to an OSU basketball game.. probably one of the coolest parts was well... obviously the fact that we killed them.. like 113-62 or something like that.. ha ha but the halftime show was awesome!!!! here's a video of part of it!!

And, as of now, im officially enrolled for next semester!!! Im taking a winter interm session class.. Media & Society.. Im pretty stoked about that one.. and for the official spring semester: Administrative Law, Civil Protection, Religions of Mankind (woo hoo), hopefully Meterology!!! and last but not least.. Spanish II... Lord help me now.. ha ha... buttttt... a few of my friends served missions in Spanish speaking areas... David Ayres was in Peru, Brian Berry was also in Peru.. Cory Johnson in Mexico, a friend of mine is in Mexico now.. (Matt Young) Burck Berry served in Bolivia.. the list actually goes on and on.. ha ha... So hopefully I do well.. :)

we're undefeated, are yOU?

sooo.. its Homecoming at Oklahoma State.. One of the BEST Homecoming celebrations in the Nation.. it was actually my 1st experience.. but dang.. it was a blast.. :) The game obviously was amazing.. 7-0.... ranked #6 who would have thought?.. its all because I transferred here im sure.. ;) lol Either way.. its amazing for OSU to be that high up!! WOO HOO!! GO POKES!! now the real challenges are beginning.. Texas is this weekend.. so we'll see what happens. Especially since they're sitting at #1 right now. (Since they beat OU) ;) It was a fun weekend. I went to the Walk-Around with one of my bestest friends Cory Johnson and our good friend Alan Krone.. can you say a blast?.. we took some random pictures.. (Cory was a little ridiculous.. lol) The next day I went to the game with Natalie, Jacob, David, Rae, Mitchell & Carlin.. Brian found us somehow while we were there.. we didnt even know he had a ticket!! It was kind of a blow-out game.. but a Win is a Win right? ha ha... I love football.. I kind of miss my Athletic Training major.. but I know I made the right decision.. after the game I hung out with just random groups of people at different times then came home and chilled with the ole roomie for a bit.. and gave her a hard time that she didnt start preparing her lesson sooner.. :) I think I had a pretty good weekend.. DANG!! I almost forgot the best part! Friday I went on a little afternoon date with my good friend Spencer from OKC.. we went and had lunch at Applebees then went to Boomer Lake and just fed some ducks/geese and hung out.. it was a blast! Here's some pictures from this weekend!

Spencer & I really liked to take goofy pictures for some reason

Im not really sure why I like this picture.. but I do :)

Elder Siversten & Elder Taylor.. I've recently learned that Elder Siversten and I both graduated in 2007 and that he's younger than I am.. kinda weird!!! :)

And this is where the weird picture of Cory comes into affect.. Im not really sure what was going on in this picture.. I was just kind of there.. :)

Last, but definitely not least.. me and David Ayres.. one of my closest friends here at OSU.. :)

Okay.. I think Im finally caught up on pictures and things.. dang.. only took me ALL afternoon.. :) now just to plane catch you up!!! I've started playing intramural soccer.. its actually a blast.. and to think the doctors always told me I couldnt play.. its actually the one sport Im not half bad at.. :) and I love it... I've recently switched my major to Political Science with a Pre-law emphesis and a minor in Business Economics.. :) pretty big switch from Athletic Training.. :) but I know that it was the right decision. Even though sometimes it kills me to just sit in the stands at football games.. its all right though.. :) A few weeks ago I went with David Ayres back to Pryor to watch his younger brother Chris in the Mr. Pryor talent show thing (CHRIS WON!!) those videos will have to come later though.. :) well.. there's not a whole lot more to say.. I'll try and get better at this thing.. maybe someday! :)

"Youre always 17 in your hometown"

Okay... for about 3 weeks in a row it was hey!!! lets have a birthday EVERY weekend.. lol... Mine(20) was first.. then Autumn Wood(19).. then Cory Johnson(23)ya.. Cory's old.. its all good.. :) For the 2nd time in my life I received roses.. a dozen gorgeous pink roses from my good friend Jesse Holyoak.. :) I was pretty shocked about that.. we just hung out that night.. played some rockband.. chilled.. :) I loved it.. probably one of the best birthdays I've had in a while.. then... Stephen Gray got the idea.. hey.. we should shove cake in her face.. and.. Mitchell and I actually got into a cake fight.. AHHH!!!! it was ridiculous.. I had to go and change my shirt.. it was a blast though.. I wouldnt change any of that night.. except maybe Stephen should have started out cooking the hamburgers.. :) aaaannddd.. the chalking of my car.. Mini-tron activate?... what?.. lol.. actually that makes a lot of sense to me.. but if you dont know what the name means I suggest you dont try and figure it out.. lol..

Gorgeous huh?... :)
